Creenan & Baczkowski, P.C. participated in Franklin Regional High School's internship program this year.  David Leftwich, a Franklin Regional High School Senior interned with the firm during the spring semester shadowing attorneys in the areas of civil and construction litigation, estate planning, and real estate law.

Jim Creenan will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on behalf of the Pa Civil Legal Justice Coalition on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, to address a recent statewide report detailing the growing crisis in meeting critical legal needs of low-income Pennsylvanians in our court system.

Creenan Named Accredited Attorney by Department of Veterans Affairs

Jim Creenan was recently named an Accredited Attorney by the Department of Veteran Affairs.  Effective April 29, 2014, Jim is an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans' benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.  Veterans and survivors who are eligible for a VA pension and require the aid and attendance of another person, or are housebound, may be eligible for additional monetary payment. These benefits are paid in addition to monthly pension, and they are not paid without eligibility to Pension.

Creenan Participates in KD & You and the Law Event

Jim Creenan appeared on the broadcast of the KD & You and Law event held on April 15, 2014 and provided an on-air interview with Jon Delano.  The event is sponsored by the Allegheny County Bar Association and KDKA-TV annually. Volunteer attorneys answer telephones in the studios of KDKA-TV giving legal advice, answering legal questions, and referring callers to appropriate legal or social service agencies when necessary.

Creenan Serves as Tri-Chair of Civil Legal Justice Coalition

On Tuesday, October 29, 2013, Jim Creenan participated in the third of three statewide hearings conducted by the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee.  Jim served as one of the Chairs of the Civil Legal Justice Coalition and provided testimony at the hearing related to whether low-income Pennsylvanians have adequate access to civil legal representation.
